Konrad Mizzi announces reshuffle

Konrad Mizzi has announced that he too has reshuffled the responsibilities of his one-person party.

The former minister has been an independent MP since getting kicked out of the Labour Party last June. He briefly served as Minister of Magic under Robert Abela.

“Following intense internal discussions, I can announce that I have replaced my portfolio. I am no longer Opposition Shadow Spokesperson For Good Governance, and am now Opposition Shadow Spokesperson For Parliamentary Ethics,” Mizzi wrote on his Facebook page.

Mizzi explained that his new role would see him scrutinising Nationalist Party MPs to make sure they respected the integrity of parliament.

“I promise to carry out my new job with the same vigour as I have always done. As my first order of business, I would like to condemn Jason Azzopardi for his indefensible behaviour with regard to accepting favours from the Tumas Group. This is a clear case of corruption and he should resign from parliament forthwith.

“As I like to say: shame on you!”
