Maltese health authorities approve Champagne vaccine

Karl Stennienibarra

The health authorities have approved the so-called Champagne vaccine for use in Malta.

The vaccine, which is taken orally, was developed by scientists at the Moët Et Chandon Institute in France, and can be obtained from such places as Frank’s Gentlemen’s Essentials.

“While this vaccine does not cure Covid-19, it will make you forget about 2020 and whatever shit-show awaits us in 2021, at least for a little while,” said Superintendent for Public Health Professor Charmaine Gauci.

Responding to anti-vaccine activists, Prof Gauci said the vaccine had undergone centuries of clinical trials, and was made from natural ingredients.

“This means it’s totally safe in small doses, taken in the company of a limited number of people, and when not combined with driving. Don’t you dare let me catch you drinking and driving or I’ll rip your heads off with my bare hands,” she said.
