Sandro Chetcuti has told people who want to access Fomm ir-Riħ beach that they must be prepared to see him sunbathing completely naked.
The president of the Malta Developers Association owns the land surrounding the secluded beach on Malta’s picturesque west coast. Last week, he incurred the wrath of hikers and ramblers by putting up a fence that blocked the path leading down to the bay.
“Fine, I won’t block access to the beach. But just so you know, I’m taking advantage of this unseasonably sunny weather to sunbathe naked there every day, and will continue to do so,” Chetcuti told Bis-Serjetà.
“If you want to risk walking down that narrow, slippery path, only to be greeted by the sight of me slathered from head to toe in tanning oil, lying with arms and legs akimbo, that’s on you.”
Chetcuti added that he would not be putting up another fence.
“Having said that, I may come over to you and say hello – get in real close. Maybe invite you to do some sunset yoga too. So are you sure you still want to come to Fomm ir-Riħ?” he asked.
