Hackers leak PN’s election strategy

The hackers who managed to break into the Nationalist Party’s IT system have leaked the party’s blueprint for the next general election.

The unknown individuals – who used Avaddon ransomware – said they were putting PN’s electorial strategy on the dark web to show they meant business when they said they would leak financial and personal details if their demands were not met within 10 days.

While the leaked plans appear to only be in the initial stages, they shed a light on how PN intends to win the next election, which observers believe will happen either at the end of this year or the beginning of the next.

The following are excerpts from one of the leaked documents, including proposals suggested by PN members and notes by Opposition leader Bernard Grech.

Proposals

  • Legalise cocaine (suggested by David Casa)
  • Ban traffic lights (suggested by Karol Aquilina)
  • Allow doctors to give out sick notes over the phone without needing to see patients (Stephen Spiteri)
  • Sign agreement with Israel to bring Christ’s tomb to Malta (Jason Azzopardi)
  • Amend divorce law to make sure ex-wives don’t get any alimony (Adrian Delia)
  • Give €3 million to Arrigo Group (Robert Arrigo)
  • Gay conversion therapy to be made available for free at Mater Dei (Edwin Vassallo)
  • Make the word ‘abortion’ illegal (also Edwin Vassallo)
  • Still thinking about it guys. Bear with me. (Bernard Grech)

How to attract young voters

Labour’s cannabis law reforms mean it’s going to be pretty hard to convince young people to vote for us, as everyone knows they’re only interested in drugs. Having said that, one idea I had is to give a free meme to everyone under 21. I have no idea what memes are but my kids seem to love them.

My kids have also suggested I promote our plans in the form of Tiktok dances.

Bringing back former PN voters

This is going to be crucial. We should use phrases like ‘rehabilitated Nationalists’ and recite the Parable of the Prodigal Son to let them know that while they’re total morons for switching to Labour, we forgive them now and won’t be condescending about it.

Overall campaign strategy

Simon Busuttil has suggested our campaign should focus solely on corruption. He’s very persistent and won’t take no for an answer. Can I block his email address?

Funding

As everyone knows, money is a bit tight at the moment. Kristy Debono has suggested we approach Tumas Group for money but I’m not sure this is a good idea. Maybe we should do like Bis-Serjetà and open a Patreon. More people should sign up to that, I think. Their writing is very good.

In the meantime, let’s hope no one hacks us and blackmails us.

Love what we do?

The best way to guarantee that we can keep on doing it is to support us with a few coins on Patreon, a funding site for artists, creatives and serious journalists. It takes two minutes to sign up.
