Environment Minister Aaron Farrugia has accused the Nationalist Party of using what he called a ‘giant space laser’ to dry out a green wall in Marsa.
Farrugia and his ministry had initially blamed the dry plants on a fault in the wall’s irrigation system. However, while appearing on One TV show Pjazza last night, the minister told host Karl Stagno Navarra that new information had since come to light.
“I now have evidence in my possession that shows the green wall was attacked by a giant space laser located on the moon. Furthermore, an intelligence report indicates that this lunar base started being built during the time of Eddie Fenech Adami – whose decrepit body is now encased in cyborg armour – and was kept hidden by dark magic wielded by evil space wizard Richard Cachia Caruana,” Farrugia said, adding that the base was funded by Yorgen Fenech.
“The space laser was finally completed last Tuesday, when Jason Azzopardi cynically aimed it at our precious green wall, causing some of the plants to shrivel up. Luckily, Master Gardener Jason Micallef arrived in time to save them before they died.”
The minister said PN could not stand that he was saving the planet with green walls and seeds.
“But don’t worry – we’ve already started building a force-field around the green wall to defend it from further attacks from space Nationalists.”
Farrugia added that further environmentally friendly initiatives would soon be launched.
“What’s the biggest source of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere? Human activity. So we’re starting a Green People scheme, whereby everyone in Malta will be sent a suit made entirely out of plants for them to wear. Under my watch, everything will be green.”
