Birds prefer being caught by trappers than by Birdlife, FKNK claims

    Songbirds prefer getting caught in nets by trappers than they do by conservationists from Birdlife, according to Malta’s hunting and trapping federation.

    In an ongoing dispute between the two organisations, the FKNK insists there is no difference between the methods of trappers and those of licensed bird ringers.

    “Because we spend a lot of time with birds, we understand their language and often overhear them chatting with each other,” FKNK CEO Lucas Micallef told Bis-Serjetà.
