Keith Schembri has announced that he is committed to being a better human being in 2020.
Schembri, who is a person of interest in the Daphne Caruana Galizia murder investigation, has also been accused of corruption and hijacking state institutions for his own gain.
“2019 was a difficult year for me. But now I’m feeling reborn after my holiday to Dub I mean Bologna, and it’s going to be ‘New year, new me,'” he said.
“I’ve got a lot of resolutions I want to try and keep. Firstly, I’m going to try and be less open and honest, because I feel like a lot of people take advantage of my kind nature.
“I also want to be more physically active. Because I’ve spent the past few years working hard to make the country better, without enriching myself in any way at all, I haven’t had much time for exercise. So next week I’m going to start going to Pilatus… sorry, Pilates classes with Neville.
“And I know this one is a bit cliché, but I also want to spend less time on my phone. In fact, I’ve replaced the one I lost with an old Nokia 3310 so I’m not tempted to spend all my time on social media and playing mindless games. Except Snake of course. I love to play Snake. I’ll never stop playing Snake.
“Overall, my philosophy for 2020 will be ‘Live, laugh, love’,” Schembri said.
