Louis Galea sent PN leader Adrian Delia to bed without supper last night, according to Clyde Puli.
Puli told Bis-Serjetà that Delia had invited himself as well as Kristy and Jean Pierre Debono over to his house for dinner and a glass of wine, but then Galea – who last year was tasked with drafting a reform of the party – showed up unannounced.
“Louis just barged in and started yelling at Adrian, telling him he shouldn’t be having parties when PN was in crisis, and asking him what Eddie [Fenech Adami] would say if he ever found out. He then told us to go home and ordered Adrian to go up to his room immediately, even though we hadn’t eaten yet.
“Adrian told Louis to stop embarrassing him in front of his friends. It was all very awkward to be honest so we told Adrian we’d see him around.”
Puli said the argument did not end there.
“After I left I stayed outside for a bit and I overheard them shouting at each other. Delia told Galea that he hated him and that he wasn’t the real party leader.
“Louis replied that Adrian was lucky it wasn’t the 80s anymore or he would have given him a good belting.”
