A Maltese man suffering from Covid-19 has begged doctors to end his life, after he read Adrian Delia’s latest Facebook post.
The Opposition leader was reacting to Robert Abela’s video on his 100th day as Prime Minister. In an emoji-filled post, Delia issued a number of challenges to the government, all related to the number 100.
“What the fuck did I just read?” said 45-year-old Mark Cutajar, who was admitted to Mater Dei last week and is in a stable condition.
“The medicine I’m being given must be making me hallucinate. Surely the leader of the opposition doesn’t actually sound like an obnoxious teenager who always gets a C in English,” he added, before a nurse confirmed he was in fact awake and Delia’s post was real.
“In that case, pull out all the tubes and let the virus consume me, because I am done. I don’t care about your Hippocratic oath. Life is too ridiculous now,” he replied.
“And after I’m gone, replace all of Malta’s politicians with brain-damaged monkeys. Because they’d do a better job than these cretins.”
