Deo Debattista denies having affair with Yorgen Fenech

Parliamentary secretary Deo Debattista has denied having an affair with Yorgen Fenech.

Debattista issued the denial following a tweet by Paul Caruana Galizia that suggested a junior government minister had an affair with the alleged mastermind of his mother’s murder after he was revealed to be the owner of 17 Black.

“No one has actually come out and said it, but I know what everyone’s thinking: ‘It’s got to be that stud muffin, Deo Debattista,'” the parliamentary secretary for consumer affairs and public cleansing told Bis-Serjetà.

“Well, sorry to disappoint all the gossipers, but I was never Yorgen Fenech’s bit on the side. All your fantasies about two handsome, powerful, bald men going at it like wild animals are just that: fantasies,” he insisted.

“Don’t get me wrong – I could definitely make him scream my name like Freddie Mercury belting out ‘EEEEOOOO!’ at Live Aid, but I’m not that way inclined. And besides, it takes more than a luxury yacht and a bad boy persona to seduce me. As my lovely wife can tell you: it also takes a good ross il-forn, and I suspect Yorgen’s is subpar.”

Debattista refused to be drawn into speculation over which minister did have an affair with Fenech.

“We members of parliament have a motto: whether you’ve been in bed with Yorgen literally or figuratively, what happens in Portomaso, stays in Portomaso.”
