Diehard Labour supporters have formed a militia to take on the FBI, should the American law enforcement agency ever try to arrest disgraced former prime minister Joseph Muscat.
According to an American financial crime blogger, the FBI has launched an investigation into Muscat for alleged laundering of money earned from corruption and kickbacks.
But federal agents will not be able to get near Muscat if the Guardians of Joseph – a militia group made up mostly of Labour-supporting AFM soldiers, police officers and bird hunters – has anything to say about it.
“Joseph is the most innocent man on earth. But if it turns out the FBI has been infiltrated by the PN, they’ll have to get past us if they want to take him,” said Jeffrey Curmi, a Muscat loyalist in charge of both the GoJ and Malta’s official armed forces.
“They can come with their best SWAT teams, but their elite training won’t count for anything when it comes up against our love for Malta’s greatest ever prime minister,” he added, before yelling ’40K lumi!’, the militia’s battle cry.
Following the publication of the aforementioned blog post, the GoJ has ramped up its preparations for a potential swoop on Muscat by taking up fortified positions outside the former PM’s house in Burmarrad.
“If those Yankees dare attempt to arrest our beloved Joseph, I’ll pick them off like turtledoves,” claimed 62-year-old bird hunter Twanny Fenech while building a dura out of sandbags.
