Adrian Delia has started a new job as a Labour troll on Facebook.
Delia found himself out of work last Saturday after losing the Nationalist Party leadership election to Bernard Grech.
But the former lawyer has bounced straight back into employment, starting this evening’s night shift at Labour’s troll factory, after undergoing training throughout the day before being assigned with a fake profile.
“I’m confident Adrian will transition from Labour puppet to Labour troll seamlessly. As someone who has endured over three years of backstabbing by the Fazzjoni Busuttil, and who also happens to look like a creature you’d find lurking under a bridge, he’s well-suited to the job,” said One News anchor Nicole Buttigieg, Delia’s new shift manager who goes by the name of Ruth Carabott on Facebook.
Speaking to Bis-Serjetà while on his 10-minute break, Delia said he was already settling into his new job.
“I think I’ll like it here. My new colleagues are great. As a prank, they left a folder full of Soho memes on my desktop. Classic. And if I reach my comment quota, I get a bonus at the end of the month, so I’d better crack on with the ’40K’ and ‘Bernard Grieg’ comments.”
As part of Delia’s terms of employment, he is also allowed to live in the Mile End building’s broom cupboard.
