PN leader Adrian Delia has asked AD and PD if he can join their proposed coalition.
The two small fringe parties announced yesterday that they were in advanced negotiations to contest the next election together.
Speaking to Bis-Serjetà this morning, Delia said:
“I’d have to be completely stupid not to realise that sooner or later, PN are going to boot me out. Certainly before the next election.
“So, I was wondering… could I maybe join this new coalition that’s being proposed? Just putting the feelers out there. I don’t want to go back to just being a lawyer. We could call the new party PD-AD-AD.”
Delia said he wouldn’t necessarily be looking for a leadership role.
“I just want to be involved, you know. Even if it’s simply making tea. I make a good tea. That’s mainly why some people in PN still support me. I have a knack for getting the water to milk ratio just right and instinctively know when to take the bag out.
“If I’m honest, Nikki would’ve left me a lot sooner too if I made a shit tea.
Delia said that if PD and AD accepted, he would also ask if he could bring along Clyde Puli.
“He’s not that useful and his tea is terrible but maybe they could use him as a doorstop or something.”
