The government has crowned the two Moroccan nationals who climbed down the back of a plane and escaped from the airport as Malta’s hide-and-seek champions.
The two fugitives, who have been named as Fouad el Sellah 26 and Mohamed Lazaar, were part of a group of five passengers on a flight from Istanbul to Marrakech that diverted to Malta after one of the men staged a medical emergency. After almost a week on the run, the two men have now been recognised for their evasion skills.
