Cannabis users in Malta will attempt to crowdfund €9,000 to give to Rosianne Cutajar, in an attempt to speed up the legalisation of the drug.
Cutajar is Parliamentary Secretary for Reforms, a portfolio that includes looking at changes to cannabis-related laws. She has been criticised in the past for not following up on her pledges to make life easier for users.
“Apparently Rosianne Cutajar will only do something if there’s good money in it for her, so we’ll try and put together €9,000, which seems to be her asking price,” the Malta Stoners Association told Bis-Serjetà, after it emerged Cutajar had received that amount from Yorgen Fenech for facilitating a property deal.
“You’d think a cabinet member would do this sort of stuff out of civic duty, but given she hasn’t introduced anything she’s talked about introducing, maybe not. On the other hand, a big bag of cash seems to do just the trick.”
The group said that, if need be, they would also offer themselves for sex.
“We aren’t multi-millionaires like Yorgen, so that might be a turn-off, but quite a few of us are more good-looking than him. Please Rosianne, just make weed legal. We’ll do anything.”
