Why we need donations
Here at Bis-Serjetà, we depend on the support of readers like you for our continued existence.
We aren’t owned by anyone else, and all content is written by Mr Karl Stennienibarra.
Karl could do other things for money, but if he’s doing other things, he isn’t writing Bis-Serjetà articles. And frankly, he isn’t very good at other things. Except Photoshop, which he never ever uses when posting images on the Facebook page.
We’d also prefer to keep advertising to a minimum and be fan-powered as much as possible.
If you read Bis-Serjetà regularly, we reckon a 5 euro-a-month donation is pretty reasonable. That’s less than half the price of Netflix to support a unique, local website you’re a fan of.
Another way to think of it is that it’s like buying Karl one coffee and one Cisk every month.
Having said all that, every little helps. If every person who liked our Facebook page gave us €3 a month, it wouldn’t be long before we could afford to buy every other media company in Malta. At the moment, we can only afford to buy The Malta Independent, which is currently valued at €50 and a packet of Twistees.
What about Patreon?
If you’re already a Patreon member, feel free to carry on subscribing, or ideally switch to Paypal. We’ll be promoting Paypal from now on because we think more people are aware of it, and it’s in euros not dollars (easier for both of us).
