Doubts emerge over whether sky is blue after John Dalli says it is

Questions have been raised over whether the sky is blue as previously thought, after John Dalli claimed it is.

“As sure as the sky is blue, I have never in my life done anything corrupt or illegal,” Dalli said yesterday while responding to the testimony of former police commissioner John Rizzo.

The blueness of the sky was one of the very first scientific observations ever made by humankind. Later, it was discovered that this is because of sunlight being refracted through gas molecules in the atmosphere.

But after Dalli’s statement, scientists are going back to the drawing board.

“If John Dalli says the sky is blue, then we’ve clearly been wrong for the past 150,000 years,” said Stephen Zarb from the Meteorological Office at Malta International Airport.

“I sent an email to NASA informing them of the latest developments, and they replied saying they’d be sending probes into the sky to double check.”

Zarb speculated that the discovery that the sky is not in fact blue may only be the tip of the iceberg.

“Maybe the sky itself isn’t real either. Maybe the whole of reality is a simulation, and John Dalli accidentally spilled the beans that he’s one of the architects.

“It would explain why he pops up everywhere and why he’s never punished for the things he does.”

Dalli himself called the assertion absurd.

“With God as my witness, I swear I am an honest and morally upstanding man.”

Replying in turn, the Catholic Church said:

“Shit, he’s given the game away.”
