Glenn Bedingfield has denied in court that he is behind the real-life persona of Glenn Bedingfield.
Bedingfield, who was testifying in the public inquiry into the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, was questioned, among other things, about the anonymous blog Taste Your Own Medicine – which he is strongly suspected of being behind – as well as his own blog.
“I can confirm under oath that I was not behind Taste Your Own Medicine. Nor was I behind Glennbedingfield.com. In fact, I’m not even behind the flesh-and-blood persona of Glenn Bedingfield you see before you right now,” Bedingfield said.
“I take no responsibility for the actions that the persona known as Glenn Bedingfield may or may not have carried out in the past, as well as those actions occurring presently and in the future,” he added, before asking the court if any of them were really and truly in control of their own decisions.
“We like to think we are, but in truth, what we think of as ‘free will’ is just an artificial construct designed to hide the fact that we are at the mercy of external forces beyond our knowledge, both an interpersonal level and a wider cosmological scale,” he concluded, before releasing a long, loud fart.
