A woman whose freezer is full of the hacked, sliced and minced body parts of various farm animals says bird hunting is barbaric.
Sandra Carabott, 32, from Naxxar – who eats the fleshy parts of mutilated corpses of livestock raised in factory farms around three times a week – said she found the practice of hunting offensive.
“It’s so cruel the way they shoot the birds out of the sky. How could you do that to a living thing?” said Cutajar, who went on a big shop last Saturday that included several kilos of mincemeat, chicken breasts and pork chops, as well as a box of frozen Tesco steak-and-ale pies.
“I don’t care if they eat them afterwards. It’s barbaric and should be banned. Not just illegal hunting but all hunting,” she added while preparing a ham and cheese sandwich, the meat of which originated from a farm in Spain with questionable animal welfare standards.
“And I can’t believe some of them take their children with them to hunt, basically raising them to be killers too,” added Carabott, who this evening will be feeding chicken nuggets to her two young sons.
