A Maltese man has demanded the law courts to stop teasing him and publish the WhatsApp messages found on Yorgen Fenech’s phone.
The compilation of evidence into the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia continued this week, with many expecting the potentially explosive messages between Fenech and the country’s most powerful people to finally be revealed.
But Nicholas Attard, 35, from Mosta, and thousands of other people were left disappointed yet again, as the two sittings merely consisted of Europol experts telling the court how they extracted and processed the data from Fenech’s devices.
“Well, talk about an anti-climax. I thought that after weeks of legal wrangling we’d finally get to see these damn messages. But if anything, this week’s sittings turned out to be some of the most boring. Thanks for putting my hopes up for nothing again, Lovin Malta,” Attard told Bis-Serjetà.
“What do I care about what software was used? Stop being a tease and give me the messages where they’re trading in influence, where they’re plotting to rob the country, where they’re chatting shit about other people. Give me the nudes!”
Attard went on to accuse the courts of being insensitive to the public.
“They do know we’re all having a terrible year and just want to watch powerful people come crashing down, right? To hell with due process!”
Attard also added that he hoped someone involved in the case would leak the chats.
“Come on Jason, be your usual unprofessional self and get those sweet juicy messages out,” he said.
