Matt Bonanno steals fighter jet from Malta Airshow, heads for Buġibba

Matt Bonanno, the man accused of threatening to carpet-bomb Buġibba, has commandeered a fighter jet from the Malta International Airshow and is flying towards the seaside town.

Bonanno was charged by police with the misuse of electronic equipment, in relation to Facebook comments made in January 2022 in regard to Buġibba and the evangelical Christian group River Of Love

Announcing that he would be attending the static airshow in Luqa, Bonanno once again took to Facebook to write, “Off to the airshow. Really looking forward to seeing the AFM’s Alouttee sea rescue helicopter.”

However, Bonanno’s true intentions became clear as he was spotted queueing to view the Polish Airforce’s F-16 Fighting Falcon.

After distracting the jet’s crew with a plate of homemade pierogi, Bonanno hopped into the cockpit and yelled, “Finally, after a year of watching flying tutorials on Tiktok, I shall rain death and destruction on that shit hole of a town!” before taking to the skies.

At the time of writing, Bonanno communicated via the F-16’s radio that he had aborted his mission, after realising the jet was not armed with any air-to-ground bombs.

“I also realised that I had forgotten to relocate River Of Love to Buġibba, which was a key part of my plan. I guess I’ll just eject and hope the plane lands on Gordon Manche’s house,” said Bonanno, who has still not had a single day in court yet.
