Jason Azzopardi is deliberately underming the anti-abortion movement by associating himself with it, Bis-Serjetà can reveal.
While Azzopardi is staunchly Catholic, an investigation by this newspaper has uncovered proof that the former Nationalist Party MP accepted €1 million from Malta’s pro-choice movement in exchange for wading into the abortion debate. He did this by sharing a conspiracy theory suggesting American tourist Andrea Prudente deliberately lost her baby to expedite the legalisation of abortion in Malta.
This proof consists of an anonymously written, poorly formatted blog post that lays out the conspiracy in detail.
“Everyone knows that everything Jason Azzopardi associates with turns to shit because he’s an insufferable, sanctimonious, universally despised prick who shoots from the hip. Malta’s pro-choice movement hired him in the hope he could do to the pro-life movement what he did to the PN,” the blog post reads.
While other PN MPs, such as leader of the opposition Bernard Grech, have also disparaged Prudente, the blog’s author suggested only Azzopardi was involved in the conspiracy.
“Grech waded in because he’s an idiot without a strategic bone in his body,” the author wrote.
