Owning tigers linked to being totally stable person, study shows

Owning tigers as pets has been linked to being a totally sane and well-adjusted individual, according to a new study.

The study was carried out by Professor Imona Jetski from the American University of Malta.

“By studying people like Joe Exotic and Malta’s own Anton Rea Cutajar, we were able to deduce that gun-toting tiger owners are upstanding members of society who are definitely not prone to threatening behaviour and never exhibit signs of being an unhinged psychopath,” Prof Jetski told Bis-Serjetà, adding that making ranty videos and harassing anyone who disagrees with keeping tigers in captivity is also a sign of a healthy personality.

“And the fact that respectable people like mafia bosses, drug lords and tinpot dictators often own big cats is further proof that it’s an ethical and classy thing to do,” she said.

The study also looked at the practice of tiger-cub petting.

“According to our extensive research, this practice is educational for children, beneficial for the cubs, and certainly not a way to legitimise a lucrative tiger-breeding program.
