People whose favourite pizza is quattro stagioni are highly likely to be psychopaths, a new study has shown.
The study was carried out by Professor Imona Jetski at the American University of Malta.
Quattro stagioni, or four seasons, is a pizza with four toppings that are divided separately into quadrants. Any ingredients can be used, but the most common ones in Malta are pepperoni, mushrooms, peas and boiled egg.
“After conducting rigorous psychological and pizza-based evaluations on 50 subjects, we discovered a strong positive correlation between having a preference for quattro stagioni, and having psychopathic traits. In fact, quattro stagioni lovers are 70 percent more likely to be psychopaths than those who like other pizzas,” Prof. Jetski said.
“In fact, the most common professions for quattro stagioni lovers are lawyers, estate agents, CEOs and hitmen, all of which are full of psychopaths. Basically, if you know someone who orders quattro stagioni, run.”
Asked to elaborate on the reasons for the link, the professor said:
“Well, it’s obvious isn’t it? Only a person with an unsound mind would want their toppings to be separate rather than all mixed together. And you’d have to be completely maladjusted to look at a pizza with peas on it and think, “Yep, that’s the one for me”.”
Prof. Jetski also shared other findings from the study.
“People who like capricciosa pizza tend to be dull and unintelligent, while those who like pineapple on their pizza are highly intelligent, well-adjusted and great in bed.”
