Malta’s coolest, most badass rock bands, DJs, hip hop acts and singer/songwriters are asking you to please please please nominate them for Lovin Malta’s music awards.
Since Lovin Malta opened nominations for the various LMA categories last week, several of the country’s most snappily dressed musicians took time out from recording radio-friendly songs and filming music videos featuring attractive women to beg you to nominate them for all the awards they are eligible for.
“If you have a moment, please reassure us we’re popular by taking some time out from listening to our songs to nominate us for Best Album at the prestigious LMAs. Not that you have to or anything. No big deal if you don’t. But please do. Please? U ejja guys,” pleaded one band on Facebook.
“When you fill in the ‘Why does your nominee deserve to make the list?’ part of the form, make sure you mention how much we changed your life with our groundbreaking music and good looks,” another ensemble said.
“If you really loved me you’d create multiple email addresses and nominate me hundreds of times. You do love me, right?” a popular female artist implored.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Joe Mifsud has announced the Joe Mifsud Music Awards (JMMAs). The awards show will take place in Hall 2 of the Courts of Justice and will feature live performances from “current” acts like Mike Spiteri, Mary Spiteri and William Mangion.
