Police raid Ħamrun handjob parlour after reports of massages

Police have raided a Chinese handjob parlour in Ħamrun, after receiving reports that women were also giving massages on the premises.

The raid happened earlier this afternoon, when several police officers from the force’s Illicit Massage Squad entered the Happy Hui Ji handjob parlour on St Joseph High Street in Hamrun.

After around 20 minutes, the officers emerged from the building escorting several handcuffed young women, thought to be the alleged masseuses, together with various middle-aged male customers.

“I just come here once a week for an innocent tug, I swear. I had no idea some of the ladies were providing massages as well. I’m disgusted by the idea,” said a married 51-year-old father of two who wished to remain anonymous.

Because of the sudden nature of the raid, several other customers had to be treated for skin tears.

In a statement, Home Affairs Minister Michael Farrugia later confirmed the raid was part of a recent government crackdown on massages.

“When upstanding Maltese family men are offered relaxing massages by attractive young Asian temptresses, it’s practically impossible for them to say no. They’re the real victims in all of this,” Farrugia said.

The Ministry for Health recently reported that last year, 400 men had requested treatment for post-massage soreness.

Meanwhile, legitimate handjob parlours have called on the government to regulate the industry to stop their reputation from being tarnished.

“My girls only touch clients’ penises, nothing else,” insisted Ping Li, owner of Lucky Pull handjob parlour in Mosta.
