Birds enjoy being shot at, hunter research shows

Birds deliberately put themselves in the line of fire of Maltese hunters because they enjoy being shot at, a study by Maltese hunters has shown.

The study was part of a research project carried out by the Federation for Hunting and Conservation (FKNK).

“While we were out in the field, as in an actual field, doing our research, as in hunting, we noticed that birds were flying in the direction our guns were pointed at, as in all directions. It was almost as if they were asking us to shoot them,” said FKNK President Doctor Lucas Micallef, who has a PHd in filling birds with lead shot.

“If they didn’t want to be shot, then surely they wouldn’t fly right in front of us. There can only be one conclusion – that birds actually enjoy being shot at.

“Why do they do this? Who knows? Maybe they’re suicidal. Maybe it’s a kink and they get off on the danger. Further tests are needed to figure this out. Luckily Clint Camilleri has diverted €1.1m that was going to University and given it to FKNK instead, so we’ll be able to buy more research tools like shotguns and camouflage clothing.”

The revelation that birds enjoy being shot at was not the only discovery made during the research.

The study also showed that Birdlife needs to fuck off and die,” Dr Micallef said.
