Environment Minister Aaron Farrugia is unable to comment on the ongoing stand-off between Infrastructure Malta and Moviment Graffitti over controversial roadworks in Dingli, as he is giving Ian Borg a foot massage.

At the time of writing, members of the left-wing NGO, Dingli residents and farmers are blocking heavy machinery from carrying out works in a street in Dingli, which involve destroying arable land and cutting down centuries-old carob trees and

“While Dr Farrugia would love to give his thoughts on the issue, he is currently indisposed,” a spokesperson for the Environment Ministry told Bis-Serjetà when we attempted to contact the minister for a comment.

When pressed for the reason why the Environment Minister was unable to speak on environmental matters, the spokesperson said:

“If you must know, he’s giving a foot massage to Ian Borg. Usually, Aaron is just Ian’s tea boy, but on days when he’s particularly stressed, he gets Aaron to use his soft hands to rub essential oils into his feet.”

After giving the massage, it is not uncommon for Farrugia to also cut Borg’s toe nails.

“Aaron is happy to do whatever Ian wants him to. He’ll sniff his sweaty socks, if he asks.”
