Hungover Maltese man appeals for information on his damaged car

A man who is suffering from a hangover is appealing to the public for information on damage suffered by his car overnight.

The man, 20-year-old Julian Cassar from Siggiewi, woke up this morning suffering from dehydration and a splitting headache after a night out in Paceville.

To make matters worse, he discovered that, during the night, his Suzuki Swift had suffered extensive damage to its left-hand side.

“It looks like several cars hit my car while it was parked in front of my house,” said Cassar, who also says he can’t remember how many drinks he had last night, or how he got home.

“I guess I got a taxi, and I gave my car keys to some kind soul so they could drive it home for me. But then some other unkind souls who must have a vendetta against me decided it would be funny to slam into the side of my car. Well the joke’s on them because I have one of their wing mirrors, which was inside on the passenger seat for some reason.”

While asking anyone who had any information to come forward, Cassar also said the authorities needed to do more to stop people from crashing into his parked car.

Maybe they can provide me with a secure, reinforced parking space or something. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going back to bed before I throw up again.”
