Michael Bonello still waiting for someone to be thrown into actual shark tank

Shark Tank Malta judge Michael Bonello says he is still waiting for someone to be thrown into an actual tank filled with sharks.

The real estate mogul has been a member of the reality TV show’s panel of investors since it arrived in Malta in 2022.

“It’s been three seasons and I have yet to see a trap door open up beneath a contestant’s feet, sending them falling into an aquarium filled with frenzied tiger sharks, or any other species of shark for that matter,” Bonello said.

“Why do you think I’ve been dressing and posing like a 70s Bond villain this whole time? I wouldn’t have agreed to take part in this boring show, listening to all these stupid business ideas, if I didn’t think there was the possibility of seeing a man torn limb from limb in a red mist,” the Alliance CEO added.

When it was pointed out to him that the investors themselves were the ‘sharks’ in the show, Bonello said:

“Oh, really? So I’m meant to eat the contestants? Interesting. I’ve never tried human flesh before, but there’s a first time for everything. Unless it’s Arab, of course.”
