Sunday’s election results came as a shock to everyone. A Labour victory felt like a foregone conclusion, with polls predicting a majority of at least 20,000 votes. Just another day at the office for Robert Abela and Co.
Instead, the public voiced its dissatisfaction with the government, and Labour’s majority has now been whittled down to a more sober 9,500 votes. More tangibly, the party lost a seat in the European Parliament.
