Hello friends.
We interrupt our regular scheduled satirical news to inform you I have been charged with ‘the misuse of electronic equipment to make threats’ for comments I made about River Of Love in January 2022, in the aftermath of the brutal murder of Paulina Dembska (see below screenshot) – comments that were clearly satirical and hyperbolic in nature, and a reaction to this shocking crime.
The person to whose comment I replied is facing the same charges.
I’m now raising funds to fight this ridiculous case, which will help cover my legal expenses, wasting time going back and forth to court, and any fine (up to of €50,000) I may incur if found guilty.
Should I raise more funds than needed, or if cleared of the charges, the extra money will go towards the continued running of this website and other comedic projects. I will also donate 10% of the extra sum to an LGBTIQ charity.
Also keep in mind I’ll need to pay income tax and VAT on whatever funds I collect.
I don’t intend to take this lying down. Help me fight against religious extremists for freedom of expression, satire and opinion.
I’d also like to offer my sincerest apologies for implying that Bugibba is a shit hole and that the entire town should be the subject of intense aerial bombardment. In reality, there are three or four restaurants that should be spared.
