Simon Busuttil admits he’s a Labour spy

By Karl Stennienibarra

Simon Busuttil has admitted he is a Labour spy.

“I can no longer live a lie – I am a Labour spy,” Busuttil wrote.

The Nationalist MP and former Opposition leader, who this newspaper outed as a robot in 2013, made the shock announcement on his Facebook page earlier today.

“I was hoping that, by now, people would have realised that my continued undermining of the case against Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi was not due to my apparent incompetence, but was in fact a calculated act of sabotage.

“I mean seriously, how can you still believe I’m not on Labour’s side after you read about the ‘proof’ I presented to Mr Justice Grixti? I may as well have given him a crayon drawing of Mizzi and Schembri with the words ‘Bad men’ scrawled underneath. Come to think of it, that would’ve saved us money on box files.

“So yeah, for the past two years I’ve been giving Labour’s propaganda machine the ammo it needed to divert attention away from the bleeding obvious corruption happening at the highest levels of government. A few more “completely exonerates” press releases and my best buddies will be off the hook forever.

“Anyway, now that the cat is out the bag, I’m looking forward to celebrating Labour’s upcoming landslide victory at the EP elections by doing a few lines and dancing to techno in a tipper truck with scantily clad women.

“Yup, even the whole ‘meek and mild’ shtick was an act. Fooled you good, motherfuckers!

“Viva Joseph, u viva l-Labour.”

Busuttil’s surprise statement triggered a wave of similar admissions by fellow PN MPs, although it remains unclear whether they were working together or independently.

Beppe Fenech Adami told Bis-Serjetà, “I’m actually the secret love child of Dom Mintoff.”

Adrian Delia, the current leader of the Opposition, wrote on his WhatsApp group, “Guys, I have a confession to make, but this stays between us, OK?”

In fact, it appears the only Nationalist MP who isn’t a Labour plant is backbencher Edwin Vassallo.

“No one ever tells me anything,” Vassallo said.
