The Bis-Serjetà Guide to ClubHouse Europe

Over the past few days, we’ve received several messages, emails and letters (address: Bis-Serjetà, 42, F’Għoxx Il-Labour Avenue, Għarb, Gozo GRB 4331) asking us about something called ClubHouse Europe.

We’re far too busy to reply to all five of you, so we’ve summarized your questions into a handy Q&A…

Hey Bis-Serjetà – I recently read an article on Lovin Malta about something called ClubHouse Europe, but didn’t really understand what it is. You’re the best news source on the island, so I figured you’d be able to shed some more light on it.

Hello dear reader. Of course we can satisfy your curiosity. ClubHouse Europe is a collaboration between young local Instagram models and influencers. They’ve formed a club and moved into a house in Malta, which is in Europe, hence the name ‘Clubhouse Europe’.

Sounds interesting. Will they be discussing ways to tackle the most pressing issues of our time, or maybe create some sort of art?

That depends on whether you consider Tiktok dances to be art.

Tiktok dances? Is that it?

No, of course not. There will also undoubtedly be lots of Tiktok lip-synching.

Will they be doing anything that isn’t Tiktok-related?

They sure will. They’ll be posing by the pool in the skimpiest of bikinis and shilling for makeup, fashion and food delivery brands.

OK. I think I understand now. It’s like reality TV.

Not exactly. There won’t be any challenges, and no one will get voted out of the house.

Oh. I’m not going to lie – this sounds pretty boring. Will people actually watch it?

For sure. We had a quick look at these girls’ Instagram profiles and found that their photos get hundreds of likes and comments, mainly from men.

Men who are definitely interested in makeup and fashion, and are not simply there to ogle hot teenage girls wearing very little, right?

Absolutely. There are no perverts on Instagram.

Is it just me who thinks this will only be interesting if they all come down with Covid-19?

Nope.
