Weird Maltese man arrives at events on time

A weird man has been discovered arriving at events in Malta at their specified time.

Complete freak Robert Bartolo, 28, from Birkirkara, regularly frustrates friends by arriving punctually to parties, concerts and social gatherings.

He has even been reported to get to a venue a few minutes before an event is due to start.

“He does it every time. It’s so annoying. Like last week we agreed to go to this gig in Valletta and on the Facebook event it said it would start at 9:30pm. So obviously, we turned up at 11 and missed the first band and half of the headliner’s set because we’re not total losers. But Rob just had to be there on time. I don’t know what’s wrong with him,” friend Jonathan Abela said.

“As if the first five minutes of a film are ever important anyway,” long-time friend Sarah Caruana added.

Other friends of Bartolo said the aberration sometimes had the gall to complain about their tardiness.

“Sometimes I doubt whether he’s actually Maltese at all. Maybe he was adopted from Germany,” said colleague Kenneth Sammut.

Bartolo’s therapist says she is on the verge of giving up on her bizarre client.

“I just can’t get it into his mutated head that if an event is advertised as starting at a certain time, you always get there at least an hour later because the event probably hasn’t even started yet,” she said.

Bartolo himself was unavailable for comment, as the filthy deviant arrived on time for his interview with Bis-Serjetà but left after an hour because we hadn’t shown up yet.
