Maltese boomers preparing for Coronavirus outbreak with prayers and racism

Maltese boomers are preparing for a potential Coronavirus outbreak in Malta by praying to God for mercy and saying racist things about the Chinese.

Panic levels are slowly increasing in Malta, after two cases of the virus were confirmed in Italy yesterday.

Despite calls for calm, several boomers are already asking God to spare Malta from a pandemic.

“Oh Lord watch over Malta and protect us from this terrible virus,” wrote 62-year-old Anthony Fenech on Facebook, before wondering aloud why all 1.4 billion Chinese people were so “dirty and uncivilised”.

“I’ve done 20 rounds of the Rosary so the virus doesn’t spread here. If only the Chinese didn’t eat everything that moves,” added Doris Grech, 65, whose favourite meal is snails and whose fridge is so full of chopped-up meat that it resembles that of a serial killer.

“We will be immune to the virus if this picture of Jesus gets 1,000 likes and if we ban all Chinese people from entering the country, said 70-year-old Grace Borg, whose definition of Chinese people includes all South-East Asians.

“I’m not religious, but I am waiting for the Chinese to spread the virus to Africa. Then the real racism can start,” said local racist Clint Zahra.
